Goodfella sues Simpson (“Where’s the money? When are you going to get the money?”)

We learned this week that the long-shot lawsuit by Goodfellas actor Frank Sivero against The Simpsons has been thrown out of court.  It seems Mr. Sivero took considerable affront to the alleged appropriation of his likeness, and sued 20th Century Fox for stealing his look for one of Fat Tony’s goons, Louie.
Louie Sivero attempted to extort $250 million dollars from the network. The hired goon actor also once threatened a deli for tacking his picture to their wall.

Some people have said* he does kind of have a point…

Listen to your heart.

It’s me all right.
Should I shoot Groening gangland style or execution style?

Fortunately, no one ended up in Springfield’s bottomless pit,
but that’s not to say it things didn’t get tense…

get. out!

How did you get past the hall monitors?

Fox sent in their crack team of Defense Attorneys …

*shredded newspaper*

“Mr. Burns, we’ve got witnesses, precedent
and a paper trail a mile long!”
Burns, “Yes… but I have ten high-priced lawyers.”

Judge Snyder laid down this harsh truth …

I don't know. Frankly, I don't want to know

Actual quote from presiding judge:
“If I was a teenage girl and I had a crush on your client,
would I be happy with a poster of this character Louie?”

Justice had its day, and everyone got back to work.

your money's money all that's money

In unrelated news, FLIM Springfield expects to be back soon with another recasting, we’ll be doing our first TV show! I won’t tell you what it is yet, but if you’ve read the above story of law and the mafia, you might guess that the devil is in the details.

*We here at FLIMSpringfield.net would never endorse a spurious claim alleging identity theft by any member of The Simpsons creative braintrust, we report this only as news, free of editorial bias.
