Harry Shearer leaves The Simpsons (…probably!)

So we saw the tweets, and news about Harry Shearer and Team Simpsons not being able to come to an contract agreement.

And thought, well obviously Harry said…

common people

The finger thing means [the money]

There were some sensitive and tough negotiations

We don't believe in rules, like, we gave them up when we started livin' like freaky beatniks!

He’s putting us on a trip to Squaresville!

And Fox thought about it

As you can see this old place is falling apart.

I’m going to write a figure on this piece of paper.
It’s not quite as large as the last one,
but I think you’ll find it fair.

Then Al Jean came in acting surprised and asked

"We do not plan to 'kill off' his characters," Jean added, "but replace them with the most talented members of the voice over community."

And as for you, I don’t know you,
but I’m sure you’re a jerk!

And Harry said…

Latin Rhythms

Smell ya later, forever…

Despite everyone assuming

Do it for he*/!- I mean the fans

Never assume…

But apparently hiring replacements is an option

Never take a vacation

SMITHERS! You look terrible!

I’m sure no one’ll notice the difference…

Al Jean, in black next to the new improved Krusty the Clown

He’s still funny, but not ha-ha funny.

Marge, with today’s gasoline prices we can’t afford not to!

Don't praise the machine.

Look, our ratings are down,
and the station is being swamped
with angry calls and letter bombs.

All the while, FOX executives are eyeing Dan Castellaneta thinking…

I could use a drink

you’re living in the past Marge!

But wait, it isn’t over yet!

and Simpsons producers demand

Typical day working for The Simpsons

I wonder what makes it turn?

And fans of the classic era are all like, Who cares?

In any event, we here at FLIM Springfield would like to assure our fans that we have an iron clad contract with the characters Mr. Shearer has played over the years, so you needn’t worry about missing your old favorite such as Dr. Marvin Monroe, Sebastian Cobb, Be-Sharps manager Nigel, Jack Larson, or the Fox Network Censor.

getting too much use from this

Our best to Mr. Shearer and whatever the future brings
